​Bedourie State School is proud to participate in a range of special events and activities throughout the year that enrich student learning, build community connections, and create lasting memories.

Key events include:

  • ANZAC Day parade and service—honouring the service and sacrifice of our veterans
  • Remembrance Day service—a respectful moment of reflection for those who served
  • Combined schools swimming carnival—a fun and active day of friendly competition
  • Combined schools cross country / athletics family fun day—promoting health, teamwork and school spirit
  • Community Christmas break u​p—celebrating the end of the school year with our local families and friends
  • Windorah Camp—a local camping experience focused on teamwork and adventure
  • Biannual Splash n Arts Festival—a creative celebration of water play and the arts

Bedourie State School biannual camps:

  • Ekka camp—exploring Queensland’s largest agricultural show
  • North Queensland camp—discovering the coastal and tropical regions of the state
  • Canberra camp—learning about our nation's capital, democracy and history​

These experiences are a vital part of our school culture, helping students grow socially, emotionally and academically.​​​​
