At our school, camps and excursions are an important part of our learning program. They provide rich, real-world experiences that build confidence, independence and a deeper connection to the curriculum and community.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of engaging activities, including:
- Biannual
Bedourie Splash n Arts Camp (PDF, 2MB)—a fun and creative local experience
- Windorah Sports Camp—connecting with Outback Alliance cluster schools through sport and teamwork
- Combined school events—held in Birdsville and Boulia, fostering friendships and collaboration with neighbouring schools
- Biannual major school camps—to destinations such as the Ekka, North Queensland and Canberra, offering valuable cultural and educational experiences
- Local excursions—day or overnight trips to explore attractions and events throughout the Diamantina Shire
These experiences are carefully planned to complement classroom learning while supporting student wellbeing and social development.
