At Bedourie State School, we take the online safety of our students seriously. As technology becomes an everyday part of learning and life, it’s essential that students understand how to engage responsibly and safely in the digital world.

The Department of Education provides strong support to Queensland state schools to ensure every child and young person can learn and connect safely online.

The Online Safety in Queensland State Schools (PDF, 4MB) guide outlines how the department supports schools, students, parents and the wider community in promoting safe digital practices.

This includes:

  • Clear policies and guidelines for online behaviour
  • Education around respectful and responsible use of technology
  • Strategies to prevent and respond to cyberbullying or online harm
  • Access to resources for students, staff, and families

We encourage all families to talk openly about digital safety at home and partner with us in helping students become confident and responsible digital citizens.

Find out more in the cybersafety: information for parents and carers (PDF, 726KB) document.
